Job summary

We seek to appoint a clinical-researcher to support the PLATCOV study trial (‘Finding treatments for COVID-19: A phase 2 multi-centre adaptive platform trial to assess antiviral pharmacodynamics in early symptomatic COVID-19’) at the Mahidol-Oxford Research Unit in the Faculty of Tropical Medicine.

You directly Support the PI on all aspects of the trial and draft research protocols, SOPs, and other documents. You will ensure ethical, regulatory and other approvals are obtained in a timely manner and coordinate activities across the sites to establish the PLATCOV infrastructure. You will oversee the routine operation of the PLATCOV trial and coordinate the scientific research programme associated, and other research activities as required.

It is essential that you are a Research Physician (medically qualified and MRCP or equivalent). You will have a substantive academic contract of employment with an HEI, and be required, as a condition of employment, to hold GMC or GDC registration and, where relevant, a licence to practice. You will be able to reside in Thailand, and have experience of Clinical Research, preferably in the Tropics. You will be independent minded, and be able to work to tight deadlines.
